Nicole McCance M.A. is a fully licensed Psychological Associate who has also been certified in the PNRT protocol. Her services are covered under extended health care and she is licensed to diagnose mental disorders. Nicole is also an author of the upcoming book 50 Ways to Beat Depression Naturally.

She has over 9 years of formal university education and is currently completing a certificate program from Harvard Medical School. She has a M.A in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, a B.A. in Criminology and a B.A with Honours in Psychology from Carleton University.

Nicole has been providing counselling and assessment services for the past 10 years across North America and in Russia. She has been a frequent contributor to media outlets such as CP24, CTV News, CTV National, Global TV, CBC News, Rogers, CBC Radio, the Toronto Star and Canadian Living. She writes a weekly blog, and a weekly wellness column for Eligible Magazine. She is also the Relationship Expert on Season 2 of the Cosmo TV show Love Trap.

Dr. Sharleen McDowall is the Clinical Director and Supervising Psychologist at McDowall Counselling and Consulting Group. Dr. McDowall received a Psy. D. in Clinical Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago in 2009 and completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.  Her  experience provided her with a wide range of knowledge which included conducting psychological assessments, providing therapy and conducting groups with individuals with severe mental illness.  She has worked with both inpatient and outpatient adolescents who are struggling with severe biopsychosocial issues.

Dr. McDowall’s previous experience includes 8 years of experience providing psychological treatment to clients in a private practice and in a rehabilitation setting.  She has experience working with individuals diagnosed with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, low self-esteem, anger management, grief and loss, addiction, in addition to other serious psychiatric conditions. Dr. McDowall is currently working part time in the adolescent department at Ontario Shores Mental Centre for Mental Health Sciences and in a private practice setting.
